Karl - Chill out. Except for occasional religious based forays into polygamy, is there any question on what the standard for what constitutes a marriage has been since the beginning of our country. "Traditional" means, I think, the way things have been done during the past. Do you really want to argue that 25, 50, 100, or 200 years ago men were marrying men in the United States? That gay marriage has been the tradition?

So, by going off fuming at the first half of the first sentence, which cannot seriously be controversial, bravo for ignoring the logical substance of what followed.

So, do you then saying that President Obama was your "opponent" because he was a gay rights oppressor until 3 months ago.

Do you really view 70% of your country's citizens, those who believe that marriage should stay as the union of one man and one woman, as your opponents?

Just as a side note, one man one woman may be a modern iteration of mariage whereas having multiple wives for one husband was considered acceptable for a long time, same-sex 'marriage' is not ancient nor is ANY marrige a 'right'. If it were actually a true right, then all divorce would have to be mutually consented to or one person has had thier 'right to marriage' infringed upon. Rights are inalienable. What you are calling a right is in actually a recognition. Your point is that you want same-sex unions to be recognized as a marriage. The other side's position is that the institution of marriage has the inate property of being between male and female as it has been in every culture accross the planet from before peoples even had any contact with other peoples.
It comes down to whether the institution of marrige is a legal arrangement or if it is a legal arrangement because it is recognized as an institution.
WAY OFF TOPIC. A matter for a different article I suppose.

Agendas don't negate factual information. Chik-fil-A donates to groups that work to oppress gays according to their own corporate financial statements-deny it all you like, it's still a fact.
"Biased" is a gentle term for it. They are the group making the accusation. Of course you didn't make up the accusation, the people at the website you cited did, hence the self-citation. You used the accusation to validate the accusation.
There is not any citation or quote that Chic-fil-a or it's CEO made a single biggoted comment nor is there a single instance of them discriminating. That site makes very strained connections that rely of supposition and have no citation, evidence, or third party verification whatso ever. Only people that want to belive , ignoring it's lack of credibility, will believe.
The same holds true of the readers of this discussion. They will have to ignore the lack of citations to hold the accusations to be try.
Do gay people have rights? Absolutely! EVERYONE does. Are their bigots and discrimination toward gay people? YEP! Against about every type a kind of person in the world. Did Chic-fil-a engage in bigotry or discrimination. NOPE. And after nearly 24 hours of feverish 'Googling' with no evidence they did it is settled business except for those bent on making a lie into the truth so they can TRY to intimidate people to 'STFU" if they hold traditional marriage as a good thing.

SO, basically there is no evidence to support your argument. Which is what many of us have stated all along.

Why not just admit it's a political ploy and leave it at that?

You marginalize the legitimate bias done unto GLBTs everywhere with your half-truths and petty, disingenuous arguments. You also stifle any positive progress with suppositions and innuendo, giving open minded people everywhere the opportunity to tune you (and your cause) out.

So, in short, you shoot yourself in the foot. Try putting some frozen chicken on it, it will feel better.

You obviously know not of which you speak.

There are no, and I repeat, NO Chick-Fil-A corporate statements which disparage GLBT.

Not a single one.

The CEO of the company stated a personally held belief, which is NOT a corporate mantra.

Your bias blinds you, your political agenda weakens you, and your argumentation has no teeth.

Come back with some truth, and this discussion might be worth continuing. As things stand, you are little but a politically-charged mouthpiece (no sexual double entendre intended nor implied).
