Vote for Barber – McSally

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Well ok – she hasn’t actually SAID that. What she HAS said is that if Kelly manages to win Tuesday’s election she won’t challenge him in the upcoming primaries for the new seat.

On the other hand if Barber wins, she will run for the Repub nod.

So Repub voters have a chance to undo the mistake they made in choosing an obviously unqualified and apparently somewhat challenged individual to represent their party, and run a decent candidate in November. And if they are too squeamish to actually vote for a Dem, all they need to do is stay home.

You’ll feel better about yourself, and your party, if you do.

LOL – Repeal JesusCare !!

Friday, January 13th, 2012

According to National Republican Radio, the christian bigwigs are meeting again

in Texas to try again to coalesce around a single candidate to run against cult

follower Romney.

They reported – with a straight face – that Jesus Christ wasn’t running and so they

needed to compromise, although little Frothy claimed that he was the pro-Jesus

candidate.

(Unfortunately for him, some of the bigwigs consider Catholicism a cult).

I admit that this brought to mind the vision of Jesus Christ presenting his platform

in front of the typical Repub debate audience:

Blessed are the Meek

No more apology tours !!! We are an Exceptional nation !!!!!

Feed the poor

SOCIALIST !!!!!

Care for the Sick

REPEAL Jesuscare !!!

Blessed are the merciful

Build the fence !! It takes balls to execute an innocent man !!!!

Blessed are the peacemakers

Bomb Iran !!!

Blessed are the persecuted

Stone the gays !!!

What terrific reality TV

Serving the citizen’s needs

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

Two current issues in Tucson illustrate what our government considers to be the needs of its citizens.

1) The government is considering closing Tucson’s USPS facility. Our elected officials mutter that the Postal Service is “unsustainable” and we can’t afford it.

If their plan to close operations across the country succeeds, the Post Office says they will save 14 million dollars.

2) The mayor is vying for the business of hosting part of our drone aircraft program. I haven’t heard anyone talking about such programs being “unsustainable”.

We have a couple drone programs and its hard to get a handle on their costs but evidently on the Predator we spent 2 billion last year and the Reaper almost 12 billion.

So that is what your government and elected representatives think that you, the citizens of Tucson, need and want to spend your tax dollars on.

Perhaps a technical modification would allow the predators to drop first class mail on us as they fly over.
