Look, I’ll be honest with you. I’m not thrilled with NPR since the Juan Williams debacle, but now I am hearing my fellow conservatives talk about doing away with PBS?
Are you kidding me?
I thought several GOPers were complaining about not having enough American “assimilation”, and now they want to do away with a program that helps to educate millions and millions of Americans? PBS does have several educational programs that children enjoy and love.
I think Senator DeMint is going the wrong way. Millions and millions of mothers, babies and toddlers LOVE Elmo, and now DeMint wants to eliminate him.
Bad idea, Senator. Bad idea. Read on>>>

Dear Fellow Conservative:
I wanted to let you know about an important piece of legislation that I’m pushing to defund public broadcasting. When it comes to federal funding of public broadcasting, there are two issues at stake: we don’t have the money, and they don’t need it. We’re going broke and they’re raising millions from private donors.
If NPR and PBS want to continue their programming, they should go ahead and do it, but not with our tax dollars. |
