There has been a lot of talk about the budget and our spending. Republicans voted to extend tax cuts, however, we have also engaged in more wars and that increases our spending. Do Conservatives want to quit more spending by ending war? Or are tax increases inevitable? You can’t have it both ways. I hear a lot of talk by Republicans about tax decreases, however, which wars are they wanting to cut and run from? Republicans want reduced spending, so do we want to get out of all of the wars? One? Two? Which?
Find out why Ronald Reagan had to raise taxes in 1982. Several Republicans admire Reagan — I’m one of them, however, reducing our spending also means to possibly quitting war. War costs money, however, I’m not sure it is wise to end our peace-keeping mission? Yes, we are the peace-keepers, but we shouldn’t spend more than what tax revenues are bringing in.
