Obama’s Birth Certificate and Donald Trump the Conspiracy Theoristby President of Somos A. Bustos on Apr. 27, 2011, under General Political Talk, The Nativist Anti-immigrant Movement
Donald Trump’s recent “birther”/birth certificate rhetoric has been one that I have tried to largely ignore until the President made an announcement today regarding his birth certificate. I believe Trump was foolish to entertain the birther movement and conspiracy theorists like JD Hayworth, Tom Tancredo, and Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce (who wanted to create a law within Arizona requiring Obama to show proof of his certificate). I know there is an element in our far right that has questioned and will continue to question President Obama’s birth place — NO MATTER WHAT.
Firstly, Donald Trump should already know that Obama had to be born in the United States because he was recently on CNN last week complaining about the federal forms required in order to run for Presidency as it relates to his own financial disclosure. In order to run for POTUS, proof of birth place is required but that apparently wasn’t good enough for Trump because he wanted to see the “long form”. So why was Donald Trump part of the birther movement? I believe it is because he knows Americans enjoy drama and reality shows.
When President Obama finally produced the “long form” of his birth certificate, I immediately thought Donald Trump looked like a complete idiot, and now I’m told that Trump believes that production of the birth certificate was an accomplishment of his.
No, Donald Trump, this is not an accomplishment for you. In fact, your stunt makes you look juvenile and the produced birth certificate makes you look foolish.
Instead of focusing on the economic situation of our country, Donald Trump chose to talk about Obama’s birth situation. He is your ordinary conspiracy theorist who probably believes ”aliens are invading our country”, too. Perhaps talking about solutions to our economy should be largely discussed because most Americans know that we have economic problems. So far Donald Trump has been good at talking about problems in our country (including the birth certificate), but he has done poorly in articulating solutions.
I’m convinced Donald Trump wants to create one big reality show out of the Presidency creating a mockery of the United States and showing the world and our allies that we would rather talk about Obama’s birth certificate rather than focus on gasoline prices, inflation, jobs and so forth.
It’s time for a serious GOP contender – not some conspiracy theorist who is in this for himself that damns our image to the rest of the world.
Gary Johnson is looking better and better all the time.
