Senator Marco Rubio is toning down anti-immigrant rhetoric to Latin media
by President of Somos A. Bustos on Jul. 25, 2011, under Secure Borders and Reasonable Immigration SolutionSenator Marco Rubio is toning down his anti-immigrant rhetoric to the Latino audience. He says one thing to Anglo Tea Party supporters and another to Latin media. I wonder how Javier Manjarres feels about this? Fact is: Senator Marco Rubio will be a one term senator if he continues to put the Cuban Adjustment Act (unique amnesty afforded to Cubanos) in jeopardy. He has no choice but to be more immigrant friendly because Cubans receive compassion and one year of entitlements once their foot touches dry land.
That said, Marco Rubio has not officially taken back his support for the Arizona harsh anti-immigrant law where he blamed just the Mexicans on drug violence, and he still DOES NOT SUPPORT THE DREAM Act. Toning down one’s rhetoric does not mean anything these days because we are tired of flip flopping. We want to see action, and so far Marco Rubio supports enforcement only policies.
Why has Rubio toned down his rhetoric? We explain that fully here. Rubio blames the border issue on solely Mexican drug violence when his own brother was busted with one of the biggest drug trafficking deals in Florida. Not only that, his brother in law was involved with dismemberment of a federal informant. Please note that his brother-in-law is not a Mexican immigrant — his brother in law is a Cuban immigrant, and yet his brother did only 12 years in prison after he was sentenced to 25 years. Why is that?
