Phoenix, AZ — It has come to the attention of Somos Republicans, the largest Latino Republican group in the country, that David Horowitz of Front Page Magazine will be speaking on behalf of Russell Pearce. David Horowitz — a conservative American of Jewish heritage — is known for his advocacy of conservative principles, support for Israel and his fight for tougher prosecution of the war on terror. His activism demonstrates that conservative and Republican values transcend both color and creed while exploding negative stereotypes planted by liberal Democrats. Somos Republicans shares this commitment to racial and religious inclusiveness.

We strongly urge Mr. Horowitz to not hand Russell Pearce the fig leaf he needs by speaking on his behalf.

Our concern is that Horowitz will be providing legitimacy to Russell Pearce, a man who in 2006 disseminated White Supremacist propaganda denying the Holocaust. Pearce also endorsed and filmed campaign promotional materials for Neo-Nazi leader, JT Ready in 2006 and appearing with Ready at a political rally in 2007. When asked by a local reporter about his son, Joshua’s “Iron Eagle,” Neo-Nazi tattoo, Pearce seemed oddly unconcerned and declared his opposition to tattoos rather than forth-rightly condemning anti-Semitism and domestic terrorist groups like the Neo-Nazis. For these and many other reasons, it is clear that Pearce does not share Somos Republicans’ and David Horowitz’s vision of a Republican party and a conservative movement which respects the dignity of all human beings. We strongly urge Mr. Horowitz to not hand Russell Pearce the fig leaf he needs by speaking on his behalf.

horowitz is at odds with the mainstream Jewish community. he is an extremist who labels anyyone who does not agree with him anti-jewish or a communist. he used to be a socialist but found it much more lucrative to be for hate. in california he sends spies into classroom to disrupt classes. he funds the defense of hate speech. for instance in california a fraternity refused to withdraw a song that talked about having sex with a 13 year old mexican “whore” named lupe. horowitz’s attorneys said that this was the frats first amendment  right. in supporting pearce he throws in with neo-nazi groups who are funded by the same people funding horowitz, a community of interests. take steve montenegro, he has very little validity in the latino community and could not be elected dog catcher outside arizona. he is Salvadoran and is supported by the elite families there who supported the death squads who killed bishop romero and the nuns and jesuit priests. the case of horowitz just as complex as that of monenegro and we should not make assumptions about them being for human rights because of their backgrounds. haters come in all religions and colors.

These organizations have ties to white supremacist’s or their ilk, the tea party is dominated by angry, white male republicans, with a token non-white face sprinkled here and there for image PR…..but does anyone really think these folks ardent anti-immigrant illegal or legal is anything but what it is? I am white, male deep southern born, can spot a xenophobe a mile away, they are easy, like the old good book/bible says they can be known “by that which proceeds from their mouths”! No need for a fancy college degree, psychologial expertise, simply let them talk, give them all the rope they desire, they inevitably hang themselves every time!
