I am the son of a German emigrant. After WWII, my mother, my grandparents, and great grandmother fled war torn Europe. You cannot imagine the enmity they experienced for almost two decades, here in the U.S.A. at a time when nobody wanted Europe's refuse. Twice they were denied visas, until they found sponsors in the LDS community in Snowflake, AZ. My mother was frequently called a "Nazi" by not just her classmates, but also by teachers and school administrators. My great grandfather lost his life protesting against Hitler's Regime, while my grandfather was brutalized and tortured for resisting conscription. My relatives complied with all the laws and regulations and became full U.S. citizens. I can't tell you how much my mother, grandparents, and great-grandmother cherished the U.S. Citizenship. They valued it because they worked for it and did it the legal way. As a college professor, I have a soft spot in my heart for immigrants and exchange students and it has been my honor to sponsor a number of my former students, and I know that America is a better place because of it. However, I have no sympathies for people who slink across our borders like a burglar in the night. If Latinos want to come to the U.S., that is wonderful because most are hardworking and moral people, but if they do, then they need to do so legally and lawfully.

Why Romney hates Mexican?
Because he's a Mexican too.
His father George Romney was born in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Under the Mexican law, he's a Mexican citizen.
Good Grief!

It doesn't matter. Most Latinos with any sense have realized that the Repubs hate them and will use them as campaign scapegoats.

The rest still call themselves "Repubs" and complain about the racism and threaten to leave, but they don't for wierd reasons of their own. And the Repubs know it.
