Yes we could use more guest workers...computer folks from India, engineers from Russia, etc why do we need millions of illegal breeders from mexico.
400,000 processed? Why not 1,000,000. Please increase my taxes so we can get them out.
"Damage sectors of our economy". Maybe we should deport a few of those company owners who hire illegals, throw them on the bus with the illegals and send them to mexico City and see how they like it. Those owners are nothing more than slave holders who exploit the illegals. Just so you can have a cheap motel room or have cheap lettuce for your salad at your cute bistro down the street.
There is no such thing as immigration reform, just a code word to open the borders.

Have you looked at statistics on guest worker visas versus guest workers? We issued 1.7 work and training visas in 2011, but had 8.7 million total guest workers. Visas are subject to strict quotas. In other words, our system is so disconnected from needs we issued visas less than 20% of our needs.

Our immigration courts, detention facilities, etc. are filled to capacity. The system is designed to remove 400,000 per year, and we are removing 400,000 per year, just 3.7% of the unauthorized immigrant population.

A 'deport them all' strategy, if that were even practical, would severely damage sectors of our economy. We need a complete overhaul of legal immigration and guest worker programs. End of story!

"Immigration reform"....If we just enforce the current laws there would be no problem. Just because 12 million illegal aliens from Mexico sneak in here (thats right sneak) we have to change our laws and 'reform" our systems.
