I’m not really sure I understand what “claims” that are “too broad to be true” you might be referring to. That conservatives now and in the past have always tried to block the path to equality and justice in this country? If so, and if you are claiming that conservatives are the vanguard of social progress, this is too silly to be taken seriously.
As to this country being far more reactionary than progressive, I couldn’t agree more. It’s a problem, indeed.

Everything I have read says thet 80% of Lations will vote for Obama. Probably that they know he will push for legalization of their 15,000,000 relatives who are here illegally to become citizens.
So why is there any chance that Lationo will vote for Romney. 80%…the figures dont match up.

I support Eva longoria. It’s OK to call Pres Obama any and every incorrect term imaginable. Now that a brown woman does it to a white Guy its so terrible. It doesn’t feel so good now does it.

This is pure nonsense. Like most Latinos and African Americans, I am a Conservative when it comes to many issues. If you consult the General Social Survey (GSS) and cross tab specific issues, you will find that Blacks and Hispanics are the MOST CONSERVATIVE groups in terms of abortion, homosexuality, religion, family and many other issues. The issues in which Latinos generally disagree with Republicans are in the realm of immigration. Yet, ironically, many Hispanic Americans are against ILLEGAL immigration. African Americans differ in two areas: Social welfare entitlements and crime/punishment issues. Yet, a Democratic Party that is increasingly controlled by members of the Far Left has successfully lured Blacks and Hispanics to their party by making a few petty concessions on these issues. But make no mistakes: Only 18-20% of this country considers itself to be "Liberal." The rest of the nation is comprised of 80-82% Conservatives and Moderates. So, the Democratic Party that is controlled by those on the furthest Left (like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Barney Frank) have to make flimsy promises to a few self-important "leaders" who don't represent our groups anyway. This is a center-right country (if slightly so). As a result, your claims are much too broad to be true. Besides, "center right" is closer to the right than the Far Left. As more and more Hispanics and African Americans realize this, they will begin the migration away from the flimsy, broken promises and bones thrown to us in exchange for our votes (and souls) by the Liberal puppeteers of the modern, very radical Democratic Party.
