The Department of Public Safety is searching for a driver who fled the scene of a fatal collision early Monday on Interstate 17 in Phoenix.

A semi-truck, Saturn station wagon, and a third vehicle were involved in the collision, which occurred just after 4 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway at Happy Valley Road, DPS officials said.

Authorities said the third vehicle, believed to be larger profile such as an SUV or truck with large tires, probably has damage to its front left corner.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call DPS at 602-223-2000.
