The woman’s mobile home was engulfed in flames about 10:30 a.m. when Phoenix fire crews arrived on scene, near Central Avenue and Broadway Road. They were able to extinguish the fire quickly, but the home is considered a total loss, according to authorities.
The woman suffered slight smoke inhalation and was taken to an area hospital for observation, said Capt. Courtney Jenkins, a spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department.
Investigators believe the fire started in the back of the home near the bedrooms, and they are working to determine the cause.
