A Mesa man was arrested late Friday after police found a large amount of methamphetamine in his vehicle and more than $2,500, according to a court document.
Eduardo Gonzalez, 25, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug, transporting dangerous drugs for sale, according to the document. He was also arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident last Oct. 31.

A Phoenix man was arrested last week after he threatened to kill numerous people and assaulted several police officers, according to Mesa police.
Jesse Villegas was arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault on police, three counts of disorderly conduct, five counts of threatening and intimidating, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing and two outstanding warrants, according to a court document.

It has been more than eight years and still no closure.
On Nov. 29, 2004, Jason Derek Brown, who is on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, is suspected of fatally shooting Robert Keith Palomares, 24, an armored-car guard, as he was carrying the weekend deposits out of the AMC Ahwatukee theater at Ray Road and 50th Street.

Police identified William Alfred Shaw, 46, as the man shot and killed by police after he pointed a handgun at several officers while they were responding to a domestic-violence call at his apartment.

At about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, police said they responded to a domestic-violence dispute at an apartment in the 100 block of Seventh Street.
