Is The Tequila Party Actually A Pack Of Wolves Dressed In Sheep’s Clothing?

In the first hour of this Straight Talk Show your host Carlos Galindo covers Jack Kevorkian and assisted suicides. Jack Kevorkian just died and although Kevorkian had to have been in pain, he didn’t choose to commit suicide. Did he have a change of heart? Some Christians say he will go to hell for helping people commit suicide. Listen to the calls that came in on Tucson’s number one progressive talk show.

On the second hour we interview Belinda “Dee Dee” Blase Garcia the president of the newly founded Tequila Party. Blase Garcia is a staunch Republican who just this week announced that she has gone Independent. I was shocked to see that Blase Garcia has already been successful in recruiting some staunch progressives to assist her in promoting the sale of her snake oil, or should I say “Tequila” Party?

Listen to a very controversial program from Friday June 03 2011 with guests David Abie Morales of the Three Sonorans and Belinda “Dee Dee” Blase Garcia Tequila Party President.

First Hour Kevorkian, Second Hour The Tequila Party

Somehow The Tequila Party & Toilet Do Seem To Go Hand In Hand

  • No Tequila for me!!!

I heard the interview.  I’m not convinced Dee Dee is genuine in her quest to now all of a sudden help with the illegal immigration debate/comprehensive immigration reform issue.   You cannot go from being a staunch Republican in Nov 2010 to a neutral Independent in June 2011.  Sorry!  Not buying it or drinking the Tequila!!

  • YouBetcha

It is awesome to watch the Tucson Citizen implode (again) under the weight of irrelevant and idiotic stories. My popcorn is at hand.

  • Brittanicus

AH! The liberal so-called progressives and purportedly Democrats should all be evicted from Washington? No matter how they try, they cannot make the legal distinction between the right terminology of a foreign national who breaks our law, and a real immigrant? A real, bone fide immigrant comes to America packing an entry visa in their passport from the State Department, whereas an illegal alien slips past the poorly undermanned border fence agent in the dead of night or lies to a immigration inspector at any port of entry. THIS IS HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN AN IMMIGRANT AND AN ILLEGAL ALIEN. Which really isn’t the real border fence anyway, as it’s been concocted by a number of Texas Republicans and a whole bunch of Senators in Washington. Ask Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) how his law, enacted as the 2006 Secure Fence Act was destabilized and underfunded? If you went down at the Southern border, you wouldn’t be looking at the originally designed Rep.Hunters two main 15 foot fences adjacent to each other, with fast tracks in between for vehicles. All you would see is a single strand fence or perhaps nothing at all, except for some rusty barbed wire.

Today it’s one fence that in itself is nowhere near completed? The Liberal Progressives in the media and even in Washington or State Capitols, are brain washing the American people, which is a misleading formula they have invented, to alienate Hispanics against patriotic Americans of all races.? It is untrue that Hispanics are in the cross-hairs as any illegal alien no matter their country of origin and who is in the US unlawfully, is subject to deportation. YES! By far the majority of illegal aliens come from South of the border, but 40 percent arrive via aircraft or ship; even the Northern border is not exempt? Annually thousands of Hispanics say the pledge of allegiance to the sovereignty of America, and they too have no love for people who break our timid laws. Indigenous Hispanics are against the economic invasion and also see it as a menace to their jobs, special the Latino-Americans who have always been here through generations, or only in the last 30 years? The Tea Party will stand and fight any form of Amnesty, under any misnomer name as with Immigration Reform. There cannot be any reward of a path to legalization for anybody breaking the laws, offering citizenship rights just further encourages millions more to try and reach here.

Those States that comply enacting policing laws such as E-Verify, Secure Communities, will have to prepare for the consequences. As it’s no longer just people from other countries that are arriving here for jobs, but illegal aliens with economical intentions? They have tutored in immigration law, knowing once on American soil the taxpayers will pay for their every need. If a pregnant woman has her baby here she is guaranteed welfare and public services and the baby/babies collect entitlements and citizenship paid for by you. States that do not vote in policing laws, will soon adversely benefit from the hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of aliens deserting states that are no longer friendly and have realized the billions of dollars their spending on this economic parasites.

Here is the ongoing facts about Presidential Wanabee’s, as Stated by Tom Tancredo: (I have added the immigration Grading system as of 05/18/11 from NumbersUSA.)

President Barach Obama (F-) has gravitated to the Liberal left on illegal immigration, although it has transpired he has done more on interior enforcement than the previous president. However the border fence is still wide open in thousands of miles along the border region.

Rep. Ron Paul (F-) has taken a sharp left turn on immigration, which I highlighted in a recent column, and refuses to back meaningful immigration enforcement measures such as mandatory E-Verify for all employers. Gov. Mitt Romney (D) supported the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan, before he was against it, and has avoided the issue in all of his campaign statements. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (D) supports a “robust” guest-worker program and a comprehensive amnesty. Sen. Rick Santorum (F) voted against creating a voluntary E-Verify system and has consistently stated America needs to increase immigration to fix Social Security. Gov. Sarah Palin (D-) has outlined a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens. Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty, (C+) who has a respectable but limited record on the issue in Minnesota, has consistently ignored it on the campaign trail. Herman Cain (D+) in NumbersUSA grading as he is committed to interior enforcement and apposes amnesty legislation.

If Rep. Michele Bachmann (B+) enters the presidential race, as she has consistently apposed illegal immigration and any kind of amnesty up to this point.

The TEA PARTY see this law as the most expensive aspect of illegal immigration and it will only be cured in the courts, insisting that one parent must be either a naturalized citizen or birthright citizen. The TEA PARTY is building a better America, without government being a mass interference in all of our lives and returning more management to states. By reducing illegal immigration the burden of ever higher taxes should stop accelerating. Another future issue that must be reduced is overpopulation growth. This is yet another accelerating issue, which is draining our energy supplies, the crumbling of our infrastructure, and the ongoing need for more oil, timber for more housing and the need for drinking water. The oath by all politicians to protect the American people means nothing, if our borders are not secured, with “Boots on the ground” of 5000 national guardsman. The final aspiration is that illegal aliens are voting and demeaning citizen’s ultimate rights, through intentional or by error. This has been condoned by Acorn or mostly carefully contrived be organizations, to alter the direction of any election and must be seen as a serious menace to our sovereign nation.

Dee Dee didn’t get enough attention with Somos Republicans. And so she has started the Tequilla party. And that my friends is all there is to it. Oh if you don’t think that name is pure self hate…

  • http://tucsoncitizen.com/tucson-progressive pamela

I am the first to admit the Democrats are not perfect, but why would anyone who is not a rich white man vote Republican?

    • hotep

Possibly because the ones explicitly telling people of color where their proper “place” is these days are those on the left.

      • Pamela Powers

I think you have been drinking too much tequila. Who torpedoed the Dream Act in Congress? Republicans. Who pushed for border enforcement, more troupes, and a wall– before they would talk about our country’s 12 million undocumented workers and their families? Republicans. Who wrote, passed, and signed SB1070 and HB2281? Republicans. Who is waging a war on the working class, public education, universal healthcare, Medicare, and Social Security while fighting for their corporate masters and the military-industrial complex? REPUBLICANS. Get a grip.

        • hotep

Let me put it this way. Who assumes that a person of color is expected to agree with you on all of those issues? Who believes it’s normal for white people to hold differing political and ideological opinions, but it’s abnormal and transgressive for people of color to be, say, fiscal conservatives, or to vote on the basis of their traditionally conservative religious beliefs? Not every person of color appreciates being considered a member of an ethnic group first and an individual second.

So is the 3Sons a closet Republican? He rags on Democrats more than Republicans. I heard he used to be a registered Republican and used tobe an aide for Ray Carroll– from multiple sources. What do you think, Carlos?

    • hotep

I would really love to see this line of inquiry pursued. He’s earned some harsh scrutiny for the coarse way he’s characterized you recently.

      • Pamela Powers

Well, as I said I have heard this from multiple sources– including someone who is a high-ranking Ethnic Studies supporter.

If you look at his posts– except for Russell Pearce and Tom Horne– he criticizes Democrats– even for the slightest missteps– far more than Republicans. When I first read his scathing Glassman posts last summer (many with unattributed claims), I thought: “This guy is a McCain opperative.” (This was before he had his name on his blog.) His current love of DeeDee Blaze and the Tequila Party– which proposes to use propaganda (read her post) and not voter registration to increase Latino influence– makes me wonder if I wasn’t right last summer.

To get his point across, you have to admit that he uses quintessential Karl Rove tactics: the big lie(s) (Glassman took me to dinner and Stegeman took me to the opera, so now I support them– total fabrication and somewhat sexist that these simple gestures would sway me); hot button issues (Stegeman wants to dismantle Mexican American Studies– not true– he wants to reorganize it and offer it more money!); heavy spin (Stegeman, Pedicone, Jim Hannley, and I are racists– not true, we just disagree with the Three Sonorans– isn’t that allowed?); and smear campaigns (personally, I think Glassman, Stegeman, and Pedicone could sue the Tucson Citizen and Gannet for “false light”). We are the Hannity and Colmes of the Tucson Citizen, and he’s Hannity. :)

        • hotep

“We are the Hannity and Colmes of the Tucson Citizen, and he’s Hannity.”

          I dig that comparison.

        • The Lou Show

I, too, have recently been “bit” by the 3s . . . and I am very disappointed.  Very!

          • Pamela Powers

I feel your pain, Lou– really.

          • Vato Loco

The Lou Show…  thank you for your work…  I do not know why 3s has recently “bitten” you but it has nothing to do with 3s possibly being a Republican….  That’s too funny…  paz y reflecciones Señor…

        • Vato Loco

For the record…  The 3Sonorans attack on you pseudo – liberals has nothing to do with him possibly having been a Republican… a tenet of CRT is… and i will try to speak loud so as to not lose you!!!!!!!!! CRT acknowledges  that conservatives are not for progress, so they do not waste their time on these conservative fellows: therefore, CRT’s critique is on the political ideology that proclaims to be progressive… CRT points out the inconsistency of liberals and how they assist the conservatives agenda; hence, one step forward, two steps back ie. MAS classes electives… DO YOU GET IT…?That is why David, as a congruent progressive  calls us out when you/we fall short of our progressive philosophy… Grow up and stop your sibling…

          • hotep

Hey, a rerun! I would like to jump to Pamela’s defense here and state that to the best of my knowledge she has never sibled.

  • jim hannley

@ Brittanicus, your comments, posted anonymously are so much wasted space as far as I’m concerned. If there is no identifiable person behind the message there is no reason to consider the opinion.

  • Patricio S. McKenna

Pam Powers: who are you?  How long have you lived in Tucson?  I’ve been a Human rights and Neighborhood activist since 1994 (age 14) and I have never once seen you at any neighborhood event or gathering in my entire life.  I am a 7th generation Tucsonan, who is very well known in the “Tucson political scene” mainly for my outspokeness and independence but partially for the 13 years I spent as an an aide to Ray Carroll.  My family is very well known in Tucson and I have served as the elected Historian for Barrio Hollywood for 8 years now.  I am deeply involved in my community, so is Mr. Morales . . . .  . . that’s why I am so puzzled as to how you would confuse the two of us.  I know your friend Jim Hannley is a real person because he lives nearby… but when did you arrive in Tucson?  You seem to really know nothing about real Tucson people.

    • Pamela Powers

I have lived in Tucson for more than 30 years– before you were born. I know plenty about real Tucson people.

  • Patricio S. McKenna

Seriously, Iv’e been in this fight since I was a teenager, all of the elected officials know me and most of them HATE me!  Where have you been?  I witnessed so much corruption in Pima County during my 13 years that it would make your head spin.  Yes indeed, Graft, Bribery and the worst of all: the covering up of sexual attack on a 17 year old girl by an employee of the Board of Supervisors on the 11th floor of the Administration Building.  The easy thing to do would have been to call the county and ask instead of creating rumors about David Abie Morales having worked for Ray Carroll—–absolutely absurd!

    • El Loco

Can you prove cover up and that the event actully happend?  There is a thing in America called liable…..

  • Patricio S. McKenna

By the way… I don’t know DeeDee Blase either, and I am a registered Independent.

  • panicattack

David crawled into bed with a Republican.  If someone were to channel David to write the Tequila Party story and his participation, they would describe David as a right wing racist nut. He is lucky that no one shares his low standards.
