Larry Devers the Cochise County Sheriff claims to be interested in protecting the border. He acts like he’s a fair guy. However it appears to me that Larry Devers is more interested in scaring Arizonans and following Brewer’s lead on screaming invasion while allowing self appointed vigilante style hunting parties to patrol the border and abuse dishwashers, landscapers and cooks that are trying to make it inland to fill that job that’s waiting for them.

Devers and Babeu have been at this for a while now. Screaming bloody murder while holding their hand out for money.

Babeu was successful in buffaloing the current legislature into handing over $1.7 million of our money for border security even though he isn’t in a border county. Under bill number HB2178 Babeu was actually after $5 million dollars but he was shut down by none other than Russell Pearce who some say didn’t like the fact that Babeu had easily bowled over and convinced ex speaker of the house Kirk Adams to hand over $5 million dollars without the actual consent or approval of the other side of the state legislature, Senate President Pearce. Either way the money for Babeu’s war games actually was taken county prosecutor’s budgets. So even if they arrest them, there won’t be sufficient money to prosecute the alleged violators.

So I got a hold of this email being circulated by the dynamic duo and their compadres, the border sheriffs.

Hello again.

If you live in or near Cochise County, we are probably already acquainted in some way. We may have met on the streets or remote roadways, or in the grocery store. And even if we haven’t already met, you’ve probably heard about the double barreled assault I and my community are facing.

I say ‘double barreled’ because not only are we faced with a dangerous, unrelenting flow of illegal aliens across the border, but we are also under assault from the highest levels of our own government – who would rather we look the other way… Our duty to protect American citizens and enforce the law be damned.

But my fellow border sheriffs and I would never do that!

So, over the last several months, I have unintentionally become a part of history, as I am told.

I am a sheriff…

To me that means I ENFORCE the law.

I don’t make the laws, I don’t favor one set of people over another, hate anyone or ask for any special favors from my friends and family.

Evidently, Washington has a different idea of what “Law Enforcement” is supposed to look like.

According to Barack Obama, Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder, I and my deputies are not supposed to ENFORCE the law anymore and now these pampered, polished, Washington “intellectuals” have gone one step too far- they’ve officially taken the side of the CRIMINALS in the fight over Arizona’s border war!!

My friend, I intentionally used the word “war”, because that’s exactly what we’re fighting down here- and it’s a battle that the Federal Government has gone AWOL from.

Actually, worse than that, they are rooting for the criminals and targeting American citizens!

Sickening email! It’s disgusting to see a sheriff in Arizona groveling for money and playing the sympathy card. This from a guy that according to some refuses to enforce the law fairly. In the following quote you see that Dever said he couldn’t move against vigilante and Mexican hunter Barnett and his brother/hunting partner.

The sheriff of Cochise County may have the best perspective on the whole strange trip. Along with Cochise County Attorney Chris Roll, Larry Dever has been criticized for the government’s failure to prosecute the Barnetts. At times, the sheriff sounds like he views the Barnetts as unofficial deputies. But Dever, like other officials, also says that nobody wants to move against the Barnetts unless the case is bulletproof. The Barnetts have been careful so far about not stepping too far over the line – or at least careful not to leave evidence when they do, he says.

That story is from the High Country News from the year 2000. So how long has Devers been, what some say, complicit to abuse against undocumented Immigrants? We know he was sued in 2005 along with Barnett on the case of abuse against Immigrants.

It goes on to explain Devers gun slinging persona. It’s important to point out that Don Barnett, one of the brothers was a Cochise County Sheriff’s deputy at one time during the seventies and eighties.

With his cowboy hat and boots, Dever looks like the Old West fantasy of a sheriff, which amuses him, especially when European reporters swoon over his John Wayne attire. Like many people on the border, he has an international sophistication that belies his rural roots.

“This is a result of a failed policy of the INS,” Dever says. “I have been very vocal about it. I’ve gone to Washington. I’ve even gone to Mexico City. They don’t have a control strategy that does anything but move this problem from one place to another. Anybody who thinks these people are going to pack up and go home doesn’t understand that they have no home to go back to.

Frankly I don’t appreciate our chief law enforcement officers flinging false accusations at our government and making absurd and ignorant comments like Devers makes in this email. Devers states “Do you think they care that here in Arizona people are DYING because of their political tricks to win illegal alien votes?” Devers and Babeu show their money hungry desperation in using their fear mongering lies to grab scared citizen’s hard earned dollars. We all know undocumented Immigrants cant vote and as far as deaths, most of those deaths are Immigrants dying at the hands of Mexican hunters on Devers turf.

Dever needs to retire or be removed. I bet an in depth investigation would reveal a lot about Larry Devers and his alleged reign of terror in Cochise County. He certainly isn’t properly serving the people of Cochise County. Well, let me clarify that, he isn’t serving all of those residing in Cochise County. As for Babeu, he and his deputies have been exaggerating statistics for a long time. Some say his deputies have staged fake shootouts. In any event that’s how he got the $1.7 million for a non-border county. Let’s hope the people of Pinal County wake up and that his days as Sheriff are counted.

I predict that the days of the wild wild west sheriffs are going to end soon and we’ll see modern technology oriented lawmen doing their job fairly and policing for all.

Sarah Palin just won’t admit it when she’s wrong. Come on! She screwed up! So just admit it! Doesn’t that make it more honorable? Admitting when you are wrong. It’s what any good social conservative would do, right? Tell the truth. Be a good Christian! Well you get my drift!

When Palin bumbled the Paul Revere question from a reporter the other day she alleged that when Paul Revere rode that famous night, “he warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms”, “by ringing those bells as he rode his horse through town, send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.” That’s a direct quote folks.

Palin Might As Well Honor Revere Since She Screwed Up The History Of His Ride So Bad

When she was confronted about it on FOX News Sunday, she turned her oopsie moment into a bold faced lie and an attempt to re-write history. The most horrible thing about this is that she has paid advisers. Equally as bad is the fact that she sits there on national television with a cynical smirk on her face telling millions of viewers that it’s not the way it’s been written in history, but it’s actually history, and the world according to Palin. Keep in mind, this is a woman who is supposedly on a bus tour to “bring Americana back to Americans.” She recently said, “I’m publicizing Americana and how important it is that we learn about our past and our challenges and our victories.” Really now? So ya think that perhaps the instructor needs to take some history lessons?

It truly is outrageous to see this woman gallivanting across America misinforming Americans, speaking in fragmented sentences and sound bites and overshadowing talented women. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. We have got to see some people in the conservative movement develop a little intestinal fortitude and stand up and speak loudly denouncing this woman not just for her antics, but for her failure to at least reinvent herself. It’s obvious that in over 3 years, since her failed run for Vice President, she hasn’t made any effort to study, read and improve her grammar.

You’ve heard the old adage, if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes truth. Well in this case I suppose we can say if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes FAUX News. After all, Sarah Palin is a FAUX News contributor.

When I first heard Rick Perry talk secession I have to admit I was shocked. I thought to myself, “maybe the guy’s just frustrated at the Feds and wants to stir the pot. However, the more I look at this guy, the more I think think that he really believes that he could be the President of the sovereign nation of Texas, as it was in the 1800′s. Well, that, or President of the union itself.

Really now? Secede? From the Union?

Perry is one of those political opportunists that’s been very successful in convincing Democrats to sell their soul to him and his right wing agenda. Why would Democrats in Texas be supportive of a staunch Republican and Bush protege? The answer is simple. Perry was a staunch Democrat before he became a staunch Republican. He comes from a family of Texas Democrats that have always had their nose in politics. Perry bailed on the Democratic party when he solidified his relationship with the Bush family and more importantly with W. To date Perry has been affiliated with both parties the same amount of time. However he has best served the Republicans based on his GOP servitude the latter part of his life when he’s had a more direct impact on national politics. Although he was named one of the most effective legislators his last year as a Democrat, perhaps that was a reflection of what he was to become by having “effectively” manipulated his Democratic colleagues in Texas’ 71st legislature shortly before he announced his newly baptized career as a Republican.

Perry conveniently positioned himself by bullying his way politically and financially into the office of Lt. Governor of Texas under George W. Bush’s gubernatorial reign, and just in time to watch W throw his hat into the ring for the GOP nomination of the presidency of the United States. That allowed Perry an easy transition into the governor’s chair as Bush exited to take hold of what we now know as a disastrous presidency that took us into a deceitful war and sent this country into a financial free fall.

So now Perry thinks he might be ready to be President of the very union he wishes to secede from, and he’s been testing the waters. Why not, he’s already aspired to be the sixth president of the Republic of Texas, following in the tradition of five other President’s of Texas in the 1800′s. If Perry can recruit the Bush Klan to back him on his venture to hijack the GOP nomination, he might just go for it. I truly think the Bush political empire still has it’s death grip on Texan and national politics. Of course nowadays they do all the moving and shaking behind the scenes, from Texas (pronounced with a southern drawl). So what if Perry gets into the presidential run? How in heavens will he deal with his inner struggle to secede from the union, and his, as Palin put it, “fire in the belly” to be the Prez?

I guess for now he’ll just focus on threatening to secede from the United States of America, which would ensure him the Presidency of the Lone Star State.

Jack Kevorkian just died and although Kevorkian had to have been in pain, he didn’t choose to commit suicide. Did he have a change of heart? I was watching Bill O’Reilly on the FAUX channel with my motion sickness bag secured next to me for those moments when I just, can no longer stomach, some of Billy’s twisted and demented comments. I just about fell out of my seat as I watched “Dick” Morris say, “If a Republican wins, Sarah Palin should take a cabinet position.” What? Seriously folks, what planet are these people living on? When are people going to wake up and tell the truth about who Sarah Palin is. She is an inept and inarticulate bumbling wannabe politician. You can’t even call her a true politician, because Palin amounts to a warm body standing at the bully pulpit blasting sound bites for the benefit of what she calls the lame stream media.

There are so many intelligent and articulate conservative women that have not been given a chance to rise because of Palin and the other inept conservative mouthpiece Michele Bachmann.

Two Conservative Dunces Occupying The Spot Of Real Conservative Women

I should be jumping for joy because I know this actually helps the left clinch the Presidency and keeps the conservatives as a failed party. I guess if you conservatives can’t gather the intestinal fortitude to tell the truth about Palin and Bachmann, you deserve everything you are about to get. Which amounts to a good old fashion presidential campaign butt whooping.

It’s going to require someone on the right with some serious conviction to the conservative movement to step out of the comfort zone, take a risk, and repudiate these two characters, further clarifying that these two are not serious players in the conservative party nor do they adequately represent the conservative woman within the GOP.

I’m still contemplating Dick Morris’ comment. Just the thought of seeing Sarah Palin as a cabinet member in a Republican administration turns my stomach. O’Reilly floated the question, “kind of like Hillary Clinton?” Morris responded with an affirmative. Well, all I’ve got to say is, sorry, Sarah, you’re no Hillary. Not even close!
