Florence Jct to Superior, Superior to Globe, Globe to Showlow, Showlow to St. Johns, St. Johns to Witch Well (the turnoff to Zuni), Witch Well to Zuni, Zuni to Gallup, Gallup to Thoreau, Thoreau to Crownpoint, Crownpoint to the turnoff to Chaco(or to Farmington if you want to see the Bistii Wilderness), follow that road to Twin Lakes TP where the south road comes in (if you are adventurous)  or around to Pintado road mentioned in the article. Happy trails!]]></description>

Yeah, I&#039;m that crazy! The road in that I list at the bottom of the article is good gravel and well maintained.]]></description>

Roberts, a legend of early southwestern archaeology, in the 1930s. It was called The Village of the Great Kivas because there were two of the huge subterranean rooms at  what was otherwise a relatively minor site. The implications for archaeologists were that it served as a regional center for all the local Chacoan villages, a materials redistribution point and political symbol of Chaco Canyon’s long reach.
