The gala event starts Thursday 9/16 through Sunday 9/18.  This is a unique opportunity to experience flamenco and Spanish culture in a traditional late-night, outdoor festival atmosphere. <p>Traditional Spanish tapas will be served along with Casa Vicente’s extensive dinner menu.  There will also be fine wine tasting! The festival opens with a special Spanish guitar concert entitled, <strong><em>Noche de Seis Cuerdas</em></strong> on Thursday, September 16th, followed by the festival’s showcase event <strong><em>Noche Flamenca</em></strong> on Friday and Saturday, September 17th and 18th featuring a huge cast of flamenco professionals.  The event will close Sunday night with <strong><em>Fiesta Latina</em></strong> – a lively and energetic Rumba Gitana and Latin music party.<span id="more-1040"></span></p>
<p>Special guest artists include Antonio Arrebola of Malaga, Spain; Vicente Griego, Marisol Encinias, and Ricardo Anglada of The National Institute of Flamenco in New Mexico; Rebecca Tomás of New York; Fabian and Katrina Sisneros of Abo, New Mexico; Misael Barraza of Hermosillo, Mexico; Macarena Giraldez of Seville, Spain; Mosaico Flamenco of Phoenix, AZ; Flamenco del Pueblo Viejo of Tucson, AZ and many more.</p>
<p>Guest instructors will offer a variety of workshops and lectures!  Workshops in flamenco for beginners through advanced levels will be offered in dance, guitar, percussion, and singing.  The festival will also offer daily lectures in flamenco history and culture, Spanish Cinema, and a very special lecture/demonstration event:  “A Culinary Journey Through Spain” with Vicente Sanchez serving up traditional cuisine from various Spanish regions!</p>
