A very unique art exhibition of the Female Art Club and Education of the University of Arizona is having a gala reception at their opening Saturday March 5 at the Stone Dragon Studio Gallery on Stone/Speedway. This student-run organization fosters the development of emerging female student artists.

The organization educates on the business aspects of being a professional artist while facilitating an environment that encourages the growth of an artist’s own personal style.

This annual juried exhibition, “In This Moment” opening, displays new works by university students, faculty, and local and professional artists.

In addition to the students work members of the jury and a selected group of invitational artists will have their art on display as well.

The theme of the exhibition, “In This Moment”, reflects the feelings and thoughts of the artist in the moment of the artwork’s creation.

The exhibition runs through Sat., April 2.  The Opening Reception is Saturday, March 5 from 4-7pm, and is open to the public.

I have personally viewed the exhibition and found some of the art showing are som eof the best art buys in town. If you enjoy quality original art you will be happily surprised at the quality and pricing.
