An exhibit of works by Tucson artists Nick Georgiou and Titus Castanza are on display at the Tucson Botanical Gardens -Porter Hall Gallery through May 28. A reception for the artists will be held May 21 from 6-10 p.m. The public is invited to meet the artists and enjoy food, drink and live music.
These two artists are rapidly gaining recognition on the Tucson art scene for their exceptional creative work. I personally have visited their studio located in the Citizens Art Studios building and am very impressed with their body of highly professional art.

Nick Georgiou is originally from Queens, NY and received his BFA in film and televison from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Georgiou meticulously creates hand-stitched newsprint sculptures, which he integrates into the urban environment. His works have been exhibited at Black Rat Press and Andipa Modern Galleries in London as well as featured shows in the New York area. Photo of Artist Quetzally Hernandez Coronado
A multi-talented visionary artist is the best way to describe Quetzally Hernandez Coronado. She experiences a continuous channel of creation flowing through her in her visual art and in her writings. The finished work opens the door to the viewer into her visions. Her talent speaks for itself.
Quetzally’s passion for art drew her to experience the discipline of painting, sculpting and engraving at a young age. She is driven by what she feels in her heart as to the direction to take and the creative vision she needs to release to the world. Everyday she looks at life as a new adventure to explore and continues her passion “ always searching for a place to reflect her soul.”
She told me that she never sees herself as anything but a continuous channel of creation and by viewing the multiple talents she demonstrates this becomes obvious. If you look closely at all her work you as a viewer can feel this passion. She uses various mediums in her paintings to accomplish her landscapes, realism, expressionism, figurative subjects and in her etchings & engravings, fashion designs and sculpture.
Below is a slide show presentation of her art.
