Joe Liberman has not been a “leading Democrat” for some time. I have a lot of respect for Colin Powell, but even he got snookered. Some Democrats did get snookered into that WMD nonsense, Barack Obama was never one of them. Neither was I.

Do you even listen to yourself? “In 2001, both Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden had decided that America was a paper tiger that wouldn’t defend itself” – when George W Bush was President???? Osama bin Laden didn’t attack American soil until Bush was President. President Clinton’s national security team gave Bush’s team information that bin Laden was planning an attack on Americana soil – and they ignored it.

How was 9/11 going to provoke the US into multiple wars??? Hello, anyone home??? Afghanistan and Iraq??? Add in a Pres. McCain likely would have us in a war with Iran and have us in the middle of Syria’s civil war after having us in the middle of Lybia’s civil war and our national debt would be much more than $16 Trillion, just for starters.

Ask Muammar Gaddafi if he thinks we “dropped the big stick”. And thank God a President McCain isn’t in charge of our diplomats, or military. He was already joking about “bomb, bomb, bomb-bomb-Iran” while he was running for Prez. He had a hissy fit that we were “only” leading the NATO bombing and no-fly zone campaign in Libya; he wanted boots on the ground. And he can’t stop whining & complaining that President Obama hasn’t got us in the middle of Syria’s civil war. Is that the kind of “diplomats and leaders” who would have a “less chance” our troops will have to fight you were talking about? But I will give McCain something – he knows far, far more about foreign policy than either Romney or Ryan.

The country would still displease me were I elsewhere, and you would miss me. Truth is, without people like you, there would be no need for people like me.
As regards parasites, I’m sure that you are aware from your studies of Marxism that all surplus value (known to capitalists as profit) is created by the worker, who is then parasitized by the capitalist when it is stolen from him. So, as it turns out, those you revere as “job creators” are the vampires and parasites, living off the blood, sweat and misery of the worker.

So, you’re saying that Democratic Party leaders “cooked up nonsense” about the Iraqi WMD threat? There’s plenty of their nonsense on the record, cited over and over again, where they (leading Democrats) warned of Hussein’s WMD threat.

If Democrats really care about our servicemen and women, perhaps they could stop bungling foreign policy. With better diplomats and leaders, there’s less chance that our troops will HAVE to fight.

Teddy Roosevelt said that American policy should be to “speak softly, but carry a big stick.” Right now, terrorists and foreign despots see an America whose leaders have dropped the big stick and are bowing to everyone in sight.

What happens when a world crisis arises that CAN’T be solved by Predator drones?

You’re ignoring the fact that Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden thought that Democratic presidents were pushovers. America’s much less safe when terrorists and foreign despots perceive American leaders as weak and irresolute. Unfortunately, the Democratic Party excels at producing weak and irresolute leaders. You should read Hans Blix’s December 2002 report, which detailed how Iraq was ignoring UN directives to comply with disarmament requirements. Also read the Duelfer report. And, lastly, read the LONG list of speeches and public statements by DEMOCRATIC Party leaders about how Saddam Hussein was a menace. Regime change in Iraq, BTW, became US policy under…Bill Clinton.

You’re also ignoring the fact that Democratic Party leaders tried to undermine the surge. Imagine being a soldier in Iraq, hearing the leader of the US Senate say that “the war is lost.” Fortunately for the world, you Democrats couldn’t stop David Petraeus. Although you did try, mightily.

Obviously bin Laden felt he could push Bill Clinton around. After the Khobar Towers bombings, African embassy attacks and the attack on the USS Cole, I’m not surprised.

Would you mind elaborating on how 9/11 was going to provoke the US into multiple wars? I’d LOVE to hear BajaDemocrats’ version of “history.”
