These buyers are paying by weight (if they are doing that accurately) not for craftsmanship.  Many buy jewelry told it is worth an amount or will insure at an amount that is above the actual value. The buyer needs to shop carefully, if they are concerned about value.  The gold buyers do not necessarily melt jewelry down, they are in the business of paying less and making more, like most businesses. I&#039;ve often wondered about the accuracy of the scales... who checks them?]]></description>
