Unfortunately blocking the number often time won’t work because the robocall spammers can change the number that they appear to be calling from with a few strokes of a keyboard. It’s an infuriating problem, very illegal, but at this point it can be next to impossible to get the calls to stop. Hopefully that changes in the very near future.

I have one of those cards. It’s called the CARE card (GE Capital) and I have used it for pricey veterinarian bills. I already paid off a vet bill of $500+ and had to use it again for another vet bill of $998 and then $300. It’s scary and I never want to miss a payment or pay late so it’s one of the first bills I pay.

Just try ignoring over 400 of these calls in less than a year. What they are doing is illegal and you shouldn’t even have to ignore them.

It’s simple. I have a land line with caller I.D. If I don’t know you…thats as far as it goes.

How about just ignoring the call? If they actually know you, they’ll leave a message to call back. If you even simply answer, they know they have a valid number, just ignore it!

The best thing to do is report them to the FTC at http://www.donotcall.gov. Even if you’re not on the Do Not Call list it’s still illegal for companies to make automated telemarketing solicitations.
