THE BOWL SEASON…
AS TOLD BY THE SNARKY PALOOKA
following the 2010-11 bowls…one snark at a time
(Formerly known as the St. Petersburg Bowl)
I’ve had the Beef ‘O’Brady Bowl at one of the 240 Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Family Sports restaurants located in 23 states. They fill it with their “Beef’s Special Recipe Chile.”
But if I’m watching Louisville beat Southern Mississippi 31-28, I’m going with Beef’s signature sandwich: “The Watterson.”
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Louisville (7-6): The Cardinals scored fourth-quarter points on a Jeremy Wright 95-yard kick return and a Chris Philpot 36-yard field goal.
Southern Miss (8-5): Quarterback Austin Davis (205 yards passing) passed Brett Favre and Lee Roberts on the Golden Eagles’ all-time touchdown’s list with the 52nd and 53rd scoring passes of his career.
Watterson Sandwich: “Named after one of our first customers. You’ll order this one again. Premium roast beef and Swiss cheese on grilled rye with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion.” – according to Beefobradys.com.
11-4: Ratio of Beef ‘O’Brady’s family restaurants within 40 miles of Louisville and Southern Miss respectively.
The Snarky Skinny: Just like the Watterson, I’d order this game again.
