In a world that sports a Cake Boss, Kings Cakes and even an Ace of Cakes, there can be only one who is the sweetest of them all.

And Rob Gronkowski – all 6 feet, 6 inches and 265 pounds of him – thinks he’s the Royal Icing.

The New England Patriots’ tight end is teaming with Boston’s Montillo Baking Company, in conjunction with Dunkin Donuts, to create a life-size cake of Gronk. Montillo previously baked an life-size cake of homage of Rocky Marciano.

The cake (presumably a pound cake) is part of a promotional contest for Dunkin Donuts, of which the former University of Arizona star is a pitchman.

According to Dunkin Donuts, there were several ways to get to meet Gronk and his flour stunt double:

“There are four (4) methods of entry: Three (3) methods via Facebook: Submit (a) a photo of yourself spiking a football (hereinafter “Gronking”), or (b) a video of yourself Gronking, or (c) a photo of yourself next to a Gronk standee in a participating Dunkin’ Donuts location.”

I can only assume the winner won with an entry of himself spiking a football into a wedding cake.

Just when you think it’s time to focus on football…blammo…Rob Gronkowski gets, well, Gronked.

The Arizona alum finds himself back in the spotlight after adult film star Bibi Jones — a self-professed “Sweet Loving Girl From Oklahoma” who now goes by the handle Britney Maclin — Tweeted a racy pic of her and the New England Patriots’ tight end.

It’s the third in a gallery of photos of the two stars, taken last year in what appears to be Gronk’s bedroom — that or the actress has a framed Arizona Gronk jersey on her wall.

In October, Gronk was forced to apologize to the Patriots after the first photo hit the Twitter-sphere. The new pic, however, is risque enough to cause even stone-faced Patriots’ head coach Bill Belichick to blush.

One gets the feeling that, if Rob Gronkowski wasn’t a football player, he’d find a way to make himself a star.

Perhaps as a butt-kicking renegade on the silver screen. Can’t you see him with machine guns in both arms mowing down bad (or good) guys? Move over Rambo.

Who knows? He’ll have to do something after he retires.

Until then, he’ll have to stick with the small screen. The University of Arizona alum is among the athletes promoting ESPN’s upcoming Monday Night Football season.

In the television ad, Gronk shows off his Rambo-like dexterity by eating chicken wings while hanging upside down.

The Patriots’ (and fantasy football) fans are hoping the record-setting tight end is gearing up for another big year in New England.

Gronk led the NFL in receiving touchdowns (17) last year with a single-season record for tight ends.

New England must believe the off-season ankle surgery (the injury which limited him in the Pats’ Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants) isn’t much of a concern. They extended Gronk’s contract this spring to a tune of $54 million.
