The day after Thanksgiving is usually a big one. The infamous “Black Friday” is sometimes, bigger than Thanksgiving itself.  It usually starts very early, with mom trying to be the first in line at the toy store to get the best and latest toy and ends very late, with dad trying to envelop the house in the biggest and brightest lights.  This year things are different, though. There is an economic crisis in our country as well as a global energy crisis. This year there are many moms that won’t be able to afford to get in line no matter how good the sales are. This year, there are many fathers that won’t have a house to put lights on. This year, there is going to be a lot of people that won’t be able to be thankful, let alone give or receive gifts.  But maybe that’s a good thing. More »
