A Chicken Soup bailout for the Food Bank

Order chicken soup from now until the end of the year at Pastiche Modern Eatery, 3025 N. Campbell Ave., and Pastiche will give the Community Food Bank $2 for every bowl and $1 for every cup.

The kitchen will keep the offering interesting throughout the year, as chicken will be the only constant in the changing varieties of chicken soup for Tucson's soul.

Every dollar donated to the Food Bank provides $9 of food. Of those served by the Food Bank, 40 percent are children, 45 percent are working poor, and 12 percent are seniors.

Pastiche also rolls out "Philanthropy with Phlavor" month in June, with 5 percent of every check donated to the charity of your choosing.

Pastiche is open 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. Mondays - Fridays and 4:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Phone is 325-3333, and here's the menu.

As a property management company we found that working with Becky and the City's Crime Free Program has significantly reduced the time necessary to clean up apartment communities that previously had a very high incidence of crime and drug related activity. It is a great program!
