Fire quickly extinguished

Fire: An Arizona Bistro, 12130 N. Dove Mountain Blvd, burned for less than a year, a victim of the sour economy, according to its now-defunct Web site.

The place was star-crossed from the beginning. Their first chef was let go before they even started serving, and they  brought in Jason Jonilonis as partner and executive chef to help open the place in February (several months behind schedule). 

It didn't strike too many people as the type of place at which Jonilonis would spend much time, and he didn't, quitting in April. Jonilonis is now executive chef for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe's Sol Casinos.

Place closed so fast I never got to find out what would happen if somebody yelled "Fire!" in a crowded restaurant, but apparently, it never got crowded.
