Worth your Wait in Wings

The first 100 people through the door at the 10a.m. grand opening Sunday (Oct. 12) of Buffalo Wild Wings, 1390 W. Irvington Road, will win free wings for a year.

This is the second Tucson location for the Minneapolis-based chain, which features 14 different sauces and hangs its concept on the theme of "Wings, Beer, Sports. All the Essentials." The first one opened at 68 N. Harrison Road in 2004. The restaurant has 7 big screens, 44 TVs, 10 booths with individual screens and outdoor plasmas for the 70-seat patio.

No idea as to how early you'll have to show up to be one of the first 100, or how long you'll have to wait in line, but the prize comes in the form of a coupon book with 52 vouchers for six free wings – one order for every week of the year.

How's the Wi-Fi there? Which laptop should I bring?

The original location has Wi-Fi, leading one to assume (perhaps incorrectly) that this one will. I remember the manager of the Harrison Road joint telling me they do brisk business on Sundays with people in Fantasy Football leagues constantly checking their point totals online.

As for which laptop, I myself would suggest something sporting a certain pomaceous logo.

When it comes to which browser you should be using on said laptop, that's a topic of which you've already proven to possess sufficient knowledge, given your correspondence in a September post regarding our capricious video server.

Hi Tom, do you happen to have the phone number of the new location? I can't find it anywhere. I called the Harrison location and they gave me the "We're not the same store, different owner, so we don't know the number" business. 411.com, yellowpages.com don't have it. If you happen to have it, I appreciate it.
