OK, so did anyone else see the item in USA Today on Thursday regarding a report that former Arizona star softball player Jennie Finch was on the Chinese government's list of those to watch out for because she might cause trouble at the summer Olympic Games?
Apparently the Chinese government was concerned because those on the list belonged to Team Darfu, an internationall coalition of athletes who wanted/want to raise awareness about the crisis in Darfur, Sudan.
Goes to show you the impact of some high-profile athletes, a list that included softball players Jessica Mendoza and Natasha Watley and soccer player Abby Warnbach, among others.
But Finch be a threat? Finch is one of the more affable and down-earth-athletes around? And, wasn't it just last year in Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice where she was "fired'' because she wasn't cut out for the cut-throat qualities needed for the show?
