There is a good chance Arizona’s next two football games won’t be on television.
For sure, this week’s game at Washington State will not be televised. The game will start at 3 p.m. Tucson time on Saturday.
Arizona’s Nov. 15 game at Oregon – which appears to a good matchup of top-division conference teams - is also close to being shut out.
The Pac-10’s three TV “windows” have been selected. ABC went with Cal-Oregon State at 12:30 p.m., USC-Stanford is on Versus at 3:30 p.m., and FSN picked UCLA-Washington at 7:15 p.m.
Oregon petitioned the Pac-10 for a waiver Monday morning, requesting to telecast the game locally for a 3:30 p.m. start. If granted, the telecast should also be available in the Tucson market.
The decision on the waiver should come by Tuesday morning, possibly earlier.
