Saturday's playoff volleyball results

Three teams from Tucson advanced to Saturday's big school volleyball semifinals at Chandler Hamilton High School, but just one survived the day.

The top-seeded Amphi Panthers swept No. 4 Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep to advance to Monday's 4A-II championship match, Ironwood Ridge fell in three to Glendale Deer Valley in the 5A-II semis and Sabino lost an excrutiatingly closs 5-set match to Glendale Cactus in the 4A-I semis.

Class 5A Division II

No. 3 Glendale Deer Valley 3, No. 2 Ironwood Ridge 0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-21)

Class 4A Division I

No. 2 Glendale Cactus 3, No. 3 Sabino 2 (30-28, 22-25, 25-14, 24-26, 15-9)

Class 4A Division II

No. 1 Amphi 3, No. 4 Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep 0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-15)
