Nycholas S. Yslas, 21, was killed and his passenger seriously injured when the car he was driving rolled over on Nov. 15, a Tucson police spokeswoman said.
Yslas had been traveling southbound on North Stone Avenue, near East Sahuaro Street, when he lost control of his 1996 Honda coupe shortly after midnight and it veered off the road, Officer Linda Galindo said.
The car flipped over and ejected Yslas, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, Galindo said. She did not say if the passenger had been wearing a seatbelt, but did say the passenger was in serious but stable condition.
The officer said speed was a factor in the crash and toxicology tests are being performed to find out if drugs or alcohol were factors.
