Jamelle
Horne's still-incomprehensible foul against UAB with 0.8 seconds left on
Tuesday night made national news Wednesday.
The
Denver Post's Woody Paige said that UA coach Russ Pennell just needs to
"take him aside, put your arm around him and say, 'Son, you made a
mistake.'"
Former Chicago
Sun-Times columnist Jay Mariotti laid the blame on Pennell, saying, "I
don't think they're very well-coached there."
Mariotti
took a few liberties with the truth, adding Pennell "came out of the radio
booth to be Lute Olson's interim head coach." Well, Pennell came out of running
a top AAU program and youth academy, and he was brought in to be the second
assistant.

of the Year.
