Zachary Bosseler, 18, died in an East Side motorcycle crash on Dec. 20, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said.
Tucson-area resident Bosseler had been riding “at a high rate of speed,” going west on East Tanque Verde Road, when he crashed into the back of a car near North Tanque Verde Loop about 9:30 p.m., Deputy Dawn Barkman said.
Bosseler had been wearing a helmet, she said, but it likely came off when he hit the car. He died at the scene.
One of Bosseler's dear friends, Sarah Toscano, will miss so many things about him.
"Zach was the most amazing person you will ever meet," she wrote in an e-mail. "He always had a smile on his face and was always laughing." The fun loving guy would constantly don funky hats and funky glasses, she said, and was always ready to put other people before himself.
"He was one of the best friends I ever had in my entire life," Bosseler wrote. "Losing him is an awful tragedy. He is my angel."
