What is Tucson PR Edge?

Tucson PR Edge was developed by the Tucson Citizen/Tucson Business Edge as a clearinghouse for press releases and announcements from and about Tucson-area businesses. It is not advertising or an events listing. It is a place where anyone can go to find out what is happening in Tucson business.

How does it work?

Approved submitters can post their press releases to the site. The most recent press releases will be on the top of the listing on the Web site.

How much does it cost?

Tucson PR Edge is a free service provided by the Tucson Citizen and Tucson Business Edge.

How do I get approved?

Go to PR Edge and click on "Register/Login". Then follow the instructions. After you register, an e-mail is sent to Business Edge staff to review your registration. If you are approved, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration and you may post your press releases.

My PR/marketing/ad firm has several employees. Does each one have to be approved?

No. You will register your firm, and include a list of approved e-mail addresses from which press releases will be accepted. Your firm will have one user name and login to manage all employees. You may add or delete approved e-mail addresses at any time. You and your approved employees must be registered users of the Tucson Citizen Web site in order to post a press release. Approved users DO NOT need to know your company user name and password for the Press Release tool.

How much space do I have?

The tool is designed to make your press releases look as much as they would if you sent them out in hard copy or by e-mail. Submitter information is automatically entered by the system. If you are a PR professional writing about a client firm, you must enter that information separately. You have space for a 50-character headline. Press releases are limited to 600 words, and one photo upload per release is allowed. Photos are limited to 200x200 pixels.

What can I post?

Content should be from and/or about area businesses. This is not an events calendar. It is also not an advertising tool, in the sense that ads should not be posted on this site. Any inappropriate content will be deleted. Repeat offenders will lose their ability to post press releases.

How often can I post?

Posts are limited to three per day per approved submitter.

Will my press releases be edited?

No. Press releases will be posted as they are submitted. You will have the ability to edit your own releases if necessary. However, Tucson Business Edge/Tucson Citizen reserves the right to reject any press release in full.

Who has access to the PR Edge?

Anyone can read the press releases once they are posted online.

How long will my press release be available?

Currently, press releases will remain on the site for 30 days.
