Barney Hilton Murray

Barney Hilton Murray was born and raised in White Plains, New York, moved to San Jose, California and lived there for 25 years. Murray currently resides in Tucson, Arizona. Murray is one of six children, has been married for 29 years, has three grown children, and four grandchildren.

Murray holds a degree in electrical technology and is working towards an additional degree in digital arts, and certification in desktop publishing and digital design. He has just completed certification in non-profit management as well.

After 25 years with technology based companies, Murray started a business to address his creative side. Murray as an entrepreneur operates a photography and video production business, graphic art services, website design and maintenance. He owns and operates a number of community service oriented websites as well.

He plans to add writing to his photo/video skills to pursue photojournalism as a career. “I cover (photography) many events that are newsworthy to the community and meet very interesting personalities. Writing about them is the next best thing and a natural progression,” Murray says.

Murray has starting to develop plans to do a coffee-table book of his work and produce an online multi-media newsmagazine.
