Good list. Add one more “stay in the shade”.

  • Carolyn Classen

Thanks Ted.  I tried to be as comprehensive as possible, but I know I probably missed some publications.   Yes, staying in the shade is always a good option in this heat.

Addendum: “At Your Library” –a new publication by the Pima County Public Library, http://www.library.pima.gov/. I just picked up the August-September 2009 issue which lists computer classes, GED & language classes, Libros en Espanol, even Job Help, and where to get homework help for students.

The Tucson Community Group of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) has a calendar with all their events listed, and some other organizations are posted there as well.

Hey very nice blog ! You are an expert !!

I just noticed “Coffee News” a free weekly 11 x 17 inch (both sides) brown colored publication, touting itself as “News to be enjoyed over Coffee.” Since I don’t drink coffee, that explains why I haven’t noticed this little paper till just recently.  Log onto http://www.CoffeeNewsTucson.com for a peak.

And I just found recently in one of the public libraries the Arizona Jewish Post, http://www.jewishtucson.org, a biweekly publication for “everything Jewish in Tucson and Southern Arizona.”
