It is obvious that a couple of those commenting did not listen to the show with Ray Carroll. The environmental impact was covered. I suggest you listen to the archived show on the Buckmaster web page. Also, I was a constant viewer of AZ Illustrated and he never ducked or softballed a topic. That is so obvious on the new show, he is asking a lot of questions that are fair and yet can make the interviewee uncomfortable. Perfect example: asking Congresswoman Giffords what she learned from the last close election. I am not a Buckmaster groupie, yet I appreciate the concept he s offering after turning off the miserable local talk radio months ago. Give him a chance!!!

Pam, Supervisor Carroll has been one of the biggest opponents of the Rosemont mine, so I think you misunderstood his comments on the EIS. He did mention the importance of a water supply regarding this proposed copper mine, which most of his Green Valley constituents oppose.

He was a waste of time on PBS – don’t know why anything should change just because he’s on AM.

But all of those 4,000 interviews were soft interviews. He never pressed the point with any othem. Nice guy but never a hard hitting interview. Just think the Az Illustrated Show was sponsored by the mining company that is going to rape the Santa Rita Mts.
Just once I wished he nailed Mayor Walkup ONCE about the Rio Nuevo mess. Just once.

I heard the Supervisor Ray Carroll spot on this show last night. I was surprised when Buckmaster didn’t challenge Carroll regarding the environmental impact of mining. Carroll said that Arizona NEEDS copper mining and brushed off the environmental impact study of the proposed Rosemont Mine by the US Forrest Service. Neither of them mentioned water shortages.

Come on, Bill, take off the gloves. You’re on the JOLT– not PBS anymore.
