The Tucson Tea Party is a venue for people who are against the over $12 trillion dollars in government bail-outs, stimulus packages, loans, entitlements, and guarantees since September 2008. We hope to provide an opportunity for those opposed to these gratuitous bailouts to find their voice, and use it. We come together to send a message to our elected officials that, if they voted for any one of these measures, we will vote them out of office!

We believe that the government is taking America away from the ideals that have made it great. We believe in individual liberty and responsibility, a small federal government whose constitutional powers are limited.

We do not believe that the government has the right to take your money in order to bail out big financial institutions, delinquent borrowers, or make it harder for you to earn your own living.

Not to be confused with Pima County Tea Party Patriots (click here).

  • George

They are — —-. No mind of their own… Deficit??????? They honestly are not intelligent enough to actually understand the dynamics of economist

Paid for and trucked in by the Koch Brothers…

Imagine what 6,000 dollars in vouchers insurance will pay for in 20 years … An you tested positive for what?

Tea Partiers are — — being played by corporations and lobbyists…

    Please take a reality check!

    • YouBetcha

George, please keep posting.  We need examples of the irrationality of progressive liberalism. Good job!

    • Don

You tell the Tea Partiers to take a reality check…AFTER you said they were “paid for and trucked in by the Koch Brothers?”  Mmmmkay….

    • Carolyn Classen

George, I censored your comment as I do not allow name-calling on my blogsite.  If you have something to say please just state your facts/opinions.

  • karen

George – you have no idea what you’re talking about.

  • YouBetcha

“We believe in individual liberty and responsibility, a small federal government whose constitutional powers are limited.”
That’s outrageous! Where the hell do they get these ideas…oh yeah http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html

  • MD

If they are really concerned about the debt then let’s get rid of the biggest money-sucking problems: two unfunded wars and massive tax cuts for millionaire and billionaires.  We can’t afford either of these.
But I sure hope the Tea Partiers enjoy their public space at Reid Park, provided by the government they hate.

    • Tullie

… the public space we all paid for.  We don’t hate the government – we just want the government to respect its limits.

  • RH

The tea party/teapublicans thank god are a minority, they are merely a branch of the GOP which thankfully is only about 22% of the national electorate, some speculate half the tea party/teapbulicans come from this 22%, much like the GOP only win elections by roping in moderate democrats, conservative democrats or independents into their idea’s which are backfiring when its realized their ideas are coming from billionaire’s like the Koch brothers, GOP operatives who financed and created this mythical grass root organization which is merely angry white male republicans for the most part!

  • RH

There is a very old and corny saying, you can fool some of the people all the time {die hard GOP 22%}, but you cannot fool all the people all the time  {that 78% which does not fit into the GOP box”!:-)

RH, you are an — —-.

    • Carolyn Classen

Terese Dudas, I do not allow name calling on my blogsite, so I censored your comment about RH.  If you want to disagree with someone, just say so and state your facts/opinions.

      • http://drudge terese dudas

C.C.: Why do you then allow some to refer to tea party attendees  as “teabaggers”?  I’m sure you are well aware what that term means in the vernacular.  Furthermore, my term was not offensive; just descriptive.

Carolyn its nice you do monitor your site, but I am used to profanity, vulgarity from the angry right wing, its part of their natures, angry at government, angry at non-white man in white house, angry folks tend to devolve to gutter language, vulgarity, profanity its all they have left in their tool box! The comments here are mild compared to Arizona Republic, KVOA web site, its always a sign of someone who has lost their cool, ability to think rationally when all they have is name calling, anger! I always harken back to the old corny school yard retorts when faced with gutter language, “sticks and stones might break my bones, bullets might kill me but words surely will never hurt me”, what anger’s most of the angry white, conservative republicans is someone of color rose to the highest office in land, has more degree’s, held more offices of state government, federal government than they will ever fantasize about let alone hold! I was born in the deep south, am white as rice, can spot a xenophobe mile away, they use code words, when not out right using racist lingo, had two uncles who were die hard klansmen, know all the games, lies they tell each other to justify their beliefs, I just rejected it in my youth and am to old to let them try and convert me to their illness, it is a illness don’t know if a cure exists other than god, jesus fixing them!

The new leader of the GOP/Teapublican/Birther movement just flew off into a rant of profanity, dropping them words most of us keep out of polite conversation, Donald Trump, he is a gift horse to the democrat party, a headache to the GOP intellectuals who know he is not going to win them the independent voters in 2012, the angry fringe on the right wing will cheer him, vote for him but it takes more than 22% of the electorate to win national elections!;-)
