I hope this surfaces something positive for not only the black community but for the overall community as well as that’s usually the outcome when a community betters itself.
A little extra here: I’ve sensed a silence from the black community throughout the debate on Mexican American Studies and non-documented workers. In general, I wonder where it stands on such important political and social issues considering the histories of both segments of our society.

Ernie, I heard Jonathan Peck, Pres./CEO of Tucson Urban League and Clarence Boykins, Pres. of Tucson-Southern AZ Black Chamber of Commerce testifying more than once in favor of Mexican American Studies at TUSD Board meetings.  Not sure of their stand on “non-documented workers.”

        Cool.
