Looks like the GOP has not learned their lesson yet, all the right wing radio shock jocks in the world will not turn Tucson into a Phoenix!:-)

It’s like Jay Leno said, Obama has nothing going for him expect republicans.
At least they have roads in Phoenix

    Well Well Well
Tucson has still not learned  to elect the right people to run the city. We had a past mayor that really did nothing for how many years?? Lets see what this one will do. Also your councl people are mostly do nothings. But hey keep electing them and the city will go furthur into debt. Just like the federal government has done nothing for the people but take more of your rights away and raise taxes when you elect the wrong people. I’m not against good governemt or good laws we  just need to have smart voters. Can none of you people out there see whats happening to this great country of ours and what the future hold for your children. We need to wake up and stop electing  the same old do nothings to run our cities and states and our federal goverment. These elected officials
now have benfits and wages that most regular folks only dream of . Plus they spend your money and complain they need more and show you nothing for whats spent.  Some people will think I’m wrong but thats ok .. Like we say to our children, lets learn from our past mistakes.

Phoenix is in delcine, every community has roads, one can debate which cities have the worst in need of repair, but for sure Tucson is lucky they don’t have the self professed toughest sheriff in america with his pink undie chain gangs, his disgraced police commanders caught in romance on police computers sad thing is they were of the same gender, which leads one to wonder about that tough guy image some of them fellows are portraying up in Maricopa county, one might wonder do they live in a closet like poor ole J Edgar Hoover was alleged to have been? Might explain why some in Maricopa law enforcement like to see men in pink undies, and why their fans get so excited at the idea of men in pink undies, they do say birds of a feather tend to flock together, folks who love the toughest sheriff in america might truly love him! Its funny how folks if given enough rope tend to hang themselves, look at poor ole Russell Pearce, even cheating in a election using a sham candidate, having his relatives get her signatures did not stop his bad karma from coming home to him! No the GOP in Arizona is in deep trouble and so it is nationally they just don’t realize it yet!:-) Ohio, Maine, Miss. just had some bell weather events showing folks are not happy with these fiscal geniuses, time will tell!

Republican  Grinnell could not overcome the 2:1 Dem/Republican voter advantage, plus Rothschild began his campaign a year before Grinnell entered the race at the last moment as a write-in in the August primary.  Mayor-elect Rothschild has a tremendous job ahead of him due to the City of Tucson’s recent troubles, plus they still need to hire a new City Manager. Stay tuned for the final election results regarding the Ward 4 race.

Tucson is merely one city in Arizona, one can find poor roads anywhere, bridges collapsing in some other states, the GOP nationally does not wish to fix them, in long run when they collapse, or become so damaged repairs will be forced and not by choice and costs will sky rocket! Yes these fiscal genisues know how to not spend money but they don’t know much else! What has the GOP/Tea Party/Tea Publicans accoplished lately? Driven down the US bond ratings from AAA to AA, threatened to shut down the government! I am not impressed one bit!:-)

hmmm, do tell. What exactly has Obama , the Democratic Senate (and house up until this year) done to fix roads lately? The stimulus you say? how did that work out? healthcare perhaps? whats your insurance premiums up to these days ( I would guess you dont pay any). Surely the Dodd Frank bill did wonders to curb banking regulations, and the housing market here is just booming again isnt it? Are you certain that you arent Ms. Romero in disguise???

  • fraser007

We Tucson got what it deserved. Fimbres reading his questions at the council, Cunningham just not saying anything, Romero stumbling through her statements and questions.
The only council member I even listen to is Steve K. I see no hope for the City. Hey Council where is the $230,000,000. Kill us now, put us out of our misery.

  • fraser007

    “Well”….typo.

One thing this election has shown, tucsonians want socialism. The takers are lining up with their hands out.
Gee….by the way did everyone forget about the $240,000,000 that Ms. Scott said was just one small mistake she was involved in.No Tucson you’re not naive,I think stupid is a better word.

  • http://www.google.com Joe

Just look at the Regina Romero results, dumbest woman on the planet much less this city. Need I say more?

    • Tip O’Neill

I see you’ve never spoken with Beryl Baker.

      • Carolyn Classen

Ward 1 is a predominantly Democratic ward, and no Republican chose to run against Regina back in 2007, nor this year.  She beat Green candidate Beryl by 72.86% (42,556 votes) to 26.62% (15,551) then, and by a smaller percentage margin this time (64.67% to 34.04%).
