Lovely new expansion & weekend hours at Cafe A La C’Art downtown (photos)by Carolyn Classen on Jan. 06, 2012, under Arts, Life
Downtown Tucson can be a charming place for those of us who work there. One of the true gems is Cafe A La C’Art in the courtyard of the Tucson Museum of Art.
This downtown Tucson restaurant (in existence for over 14 years) has now expanded with four cozy rooms, just west of their outdoor patio and main dining room — complete with wooden floors, window seats with pillows, and lovely art on the walls. Photos below courtesy of “Rusty” Ramirez, employee at Cafe a La C’Art. And they will now be expanding even more — open on weekends starting January 7 & 8, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A further expansion of night time dining & a bar is slated for the Spring.
View their delicious-sounding breakfast & lunch selections online. I stopped by recently and enjoyed the “Gingered Apricot Almond Chicken Salad Croissant”, one of their most popular choices, complete with a choice of french fries, a garden salad, or a pesto pasta salad (which I had). It was a true work of art by the chef!
So visit the Tucson Museum of art, walk around downtown as a tourist, bring your friends & co-workers to this Cafe a La C’Art if you work downtown. Whatever you do, you won’t be disappointed in this lovely garden patio & indoor dining artsy experience. And now they will be open on the weekends too.
