Literacy Connects volunteer fair

by on Aug. 07, 2012, under Education, Life

Want to know more about Literacy Connects and what we do? Looking for a great volunteer opportunity this year?

Join several of our programs (Reading Seed, Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, and Reach Out and Read Southern Arizona) on Saturday, August 11th for a Volunteer Fair and Back to School Celebration!!

As our programs gear-up for the school year, we are looking for more wonderful tutors and coaches to support learners in our community and help bring literacy to life.

We invite current volunteers to bring a friend (or 2 or more!) to learn about the programs and volunteer opportunities at Literacy Connects. For every friend you bring, you’ll receive one raffle entry for a chance to win a fabulous gift certificate.

When: Saturday, August 11th from 9 am – 12 pm

Where: Literacy Connects Main Office, 2850 E. Speedway

Current Reading Seed Coaches will also be able to pick up their new journals and game boards for this school year, and there will be plenty of time to connect with other Literacy Connects volunteers and program staff. Light refreshments will be provided.

For more information, please email Brenda Quintero (bquintero@literacyconnects.org) or call 520-882-8006. We hope to see you there!
