17th Annual BICAS Art Auction

by on Nov. 26, 2012, under Arts, Life

Check out the terrific, creative bicycle art (paintings, sculptures, jewelry, etc.) at the annual Bicycle Inter-Community Art & Salvage (BICAS) preview and art auction, at the Whistle Stop Depot, SE corner of 10th Avenue and W. 5th St. Refreshments, music and fun for all on both nights. This is their very popular annual fundraiser, and is usually standing room only. And I’ve seen the bidding go up into the hundreds of dollars for some of those artistic metal animals.

Off Topic, but I don’t care. Congratulations on Albrecht’s Carnegie Foundation prize. There’s a fine story in this morning’s Star.

Thanks Tip, I didn’t want to post the news myself due to our humility, but I will now. Stay tuned.

Another successful art auction at the Whistle Stop, with incredible sculptures by Troy Neiman (the javelina), creative lamps by Erik Bang, a skeleton male/female duo by Zach Lihatsch, even toilet paper holders, a sun dial, drawings, tables, etc. etc. As usual standing room only on the bidding, and lots of other BICAS stuff for sale too.
