Free Krishna Fest dinner at Govinda’s Natural Foods
Monday, August 6th, 2012Chaitanya Cultural Center & Govinda’s Natural Foods restaurant celebrate a 5000 year old festival tradition commemorating the birthday of Sri Krishna. For Asian Indians worldwide this is the largest and most sacred event of the year!
What: “Krishna Fest 2012″ – Govinda’s Natural Foods hosts this colorful and ecstatic festival, complete with exotic entertainment for the whole family. We at Govinda’s are very excited to announce a wonderful collaboration between our staff at Govinda’s and artists within the local community will once again unite to bring to the Tucson community an opportunity to be mesmerized by the lavish entertainment that we will provide. There will be fire performances, intricate Indian dances, and cultural festivities. As always, there will be free food and plenty of children activities! We had a phenomenal turn out last year and we look forward to welcoming the public to our animal sanctuary and temple!

Special: Very visual with colorful traditional costumes, fresh flower decoration, cultural performers, and a free vegetarian feast and birthday cake. Photography is permitted and encouraged!

Check out the lovely koi pond and bird sanctuary on the north side of the restaurant, which I visited as part of the 2011 Garden Pond Tour. And enjoy the delicious vegetarian food.
