It’s that time of month again, time for the second 2nd Saturdays Downtown “Urban Street Fest” on June 12.

Last month the inaugural event attracted about ten thousand partiers to “eat, drink, be merry” & explore, listen to varieties of music, watch performers & circus acts, purchase goodies and clothes, etc. etc. on E. Congress Street between the infamous Hotel Congress and Church Avenue. Last month there was even a guy giving out “free advice for 5 cents.”

Here’s a photo gallery (click here) of the some of the happenings on May 8, but the upcoming schedule for Saturday June 12 sounds fantastic as well.

Time: 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Be there.

The outdoor stage will again be located on Scott Avenue at Broadway and will feature local bands.

* 6:30 p.m. – Drama Club, a 60’s soul and funk band
* 7:45 p.m. – Leila Lopez, a folk/fusion guitarist and vocalist and
* 9:15 p.m. – The Sand Rubies, a Tucson Weekly Hall of Fame band known for straight on rock and roll.

The Fox Theatre (17 W. Congress) will again be offering FREE admission and will feature Creedence Again, the country’s premier Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band from Chicago. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the first set at 7:00 p.m.
