Congratulations to attorney Susan Agrillo (aka Suzie Sexton), executive producer for putting together another fun cast of comedians for this 3rd annual show. We attended last year and it was hilarious.
Stand Up To Stop Violence is an organization that cares. Building hope through laughter and striving to involve the community actively. Through event hosting with various comedians in the industry, Stand Up To Stop Violence raises funds to donate to various charities.
Emcee David Fitzsimmons (voted Best Entertainer, Tucson Lifestyle Magazine), joins New York City headliner Vanessa Hollingshead (Comedy Central Presents), Gary Hood (Showtime), Dina Kucera (author of Everything I Never Wanted to Be), Butch Lord (Butch Lord Radio Road Show), Elliot Glicksman (opened for Phyllis Diller and Jerry Seinfeld), and Suzie Sexton, (Tucson’s very own version of Joan Rivers).
What a great idea to raise money for Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse by seeing the lighter side of life. Having been a victims advocate attorney for an Americorps DV Project back in Hawaii, and also the Interim Director of the now-defunct Domestic Violence Commission in Tucson, this is a show I do NOT want to miss.
VIP Reception at 6:00 p.m., show at 7:00 p.m. all at the Fox Theater, 17 W. Congress St. “This year there will be a raffle of exciting prizes, including restaurants, golf and spa prizes, for only $10 a ticket. There will also be an after party at The Playground following the show”. Get your tickets online at www.foxtucsontheatre.org, or click here.
