Go on a holiday Art Excursion on December 2

Saturday, December 1st, 2012

Every year we receive a postcard about an Art Excusion/open house of several West University & Dunbar Spring artists. So here’s the list below for you to visit their studios on Sunday December 2nd, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please support local artists this holiday season.

722 N. Perry Ave., 882-9175 (between University Ave. & W. 4th St.)
John McNulty, clay
Dirk J. Arnold, endangered architecture

1019 N. Jacobus Ave., 624-5201 (between Speedway & E. 1st St.)
Janet Burner, clay

226 E. 5th St., 770-1946 (between Arizona Ave. & 5th Ave)
Lisa Agababian, clay

549 N. 7th Avenue, 624-7419 (between E. 6th and E. 5th Streets)
Dawn Carlson, painting
Crane Day, textiles
Rubina Gallo, jewelry
Tom Kerrigan, clay
Carole Konrath, glass
Nicola Marshall, painting
Russell Recchion, oil painting
Cita Scott, mixed media
Kathryn Wilde, photography

This is a wide selection of different types of art to experience. I’m familiar with Crane Day’s creative & lovely textiles, as well as some of Tom Kerrigan’s erotic clay pieces at that large artist studio warehouse on N. 7th Avenue. And I like Dirk Arnold’s endangered architecture magnets (see photo below courtesy of the artist) which will be on sale at this art excursion.

As you can see from the addresses, you can walk or bike to these four locations, so enjoy the cooler winter weather and get some exercise too.
