Political newcomer Republican Jennifer Rawson has filed with the Tucson City Clerk to run for the Ward 2 Council seat, which is up for election this year.
She self-described herself as a person who has “performed many jobs-weeded potato fields, wash walls, been a nanny, a buyer, an office manager, an accounting manager, a Food and beverage manager, Chef, Ranch wife and mother.”
She goes on in an email that “I have negotiated contracts, and prepared from the ground up budgets. I know how to balance a budget and how to live with-in one. I am the mother of two and the grandmother of five great boys”.
Rawson will be officially announcing her candidacy in front of the Ward 2 Council office on Thursday, April 7 at 3 p.m., which will be a time to learn more about this candidate. The Council office is at 7575 E. Speedway, east of Kolb Road.
Photo unavailable at press time (Sunday 4/3/11), but I will upload one later should I receive one from this candidate before Thursday. Photo added: 4/7/11.
Paul is the son of George Cunningham, former Democratic State Senator (and House Rep.) and financial adviser in the cabinet of two Governors of the State of Arizona (Chief of Staff for Governor Mofford and Deputy Chief of Staff for Finance & Budget under Governor Napolitano).
