Late Night Cult Classics at The Loft Cinema! The greatest cult movies of all-time are back on the big screen!
Cowabunga, dude! The world’s most beloved sewer-dwelling, kung fu-fighting reptiles are on the loose and hungry for pizza in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ original, totally awesome big-screen adventure. Four ordinary turtles are exposed to The Ooze (aka. toxic waste!) and, with the help of enormous Buddhist rat Master Splinter, grow into an unstoppable martial arts justice league, complete with totally ‘80s surfer dude dialects and a possibly unhealthy obsession with greasy pizza!
When Splinter is kidnapped by his loathsome nemesis The Shredder and his pack of criminal ninjas, the turtles enlist the aid of lovely TV reporter April O’Neil and wise-cracking vigilante maniac Casey Jones to rescue their number one rodent from the venomous karate clan. And you’d better believe that Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael and Donatello (voiced by the one-and-only Corey Feldman!) are ready to kick as much shell as necessary in the process. (Dir. by Steve Barron, 1990, USA, 95 mins., Rated PG) Digital
Our son was a big fan of these ninja turtles – Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michaelangelo, and had many of their fan items such as action figures, a beach towel, costumes, comic books, cups & bottles, etc. What a phenomenon they were, and this is the first classic movie of that crime-fighting karate clan.
